![]() Morgan’s Rock Ecolodge Sitting in acres of rainforest and next to one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen, is a gorgeous yoga retreat and ecolodge called Morgan’s Rock. We're greeted with a Macua, the national drink of Nicaragua upon our arrival. It’s made with Flor de Caña rum, touted as the best rum in the world, guava juice and lemon juice. And as they saying goes, when in Nicaragua. It's the bomb when it's hot out. After they take our bags, we’re given a tour of the stunning property and then shown to our casita. It takes our breath away. It has a plunge pool and futon swing and every subtle nuance was thoughtful and gorgeous. Maya, our yoga instructor is exceptional. She works to ensure we're doing the postures correctly, and I really appreciate the overhead fan that keeps us cool and bug free. We spend our days doing yoga, sitting on the beach hammocks, and spotting monkeys around the property. Designed by architect Matthew Falkiner, the ecolodge shares a 7 acre farm named “El Aguacate” with Desarrollo Ecoforestal S.A, which contains near four square miles of precious hardwood trees and 3 of the “Reserva Silvestre Privada El Aguacate” natural reserve, which is protected by the government. In addition, the farm works to sustainably grow and harvest tropical hardwoods while educating visitors and other farmers on smart practices. While there, visitors can learn more about the local flora and fauna or take part in eco tourist activities like hikes, jungle tours, kayaking in the estuary, surfing, sailing and of course, yoga retreats!
Hot pink Travel will be bringing yoga retreats to Morgan’s rock in early 2017. Stay tuned for exact dates and details.
